SimplyNUC, a maker of ultra-compact form-factor (UCFF) PCs, has introduced its first PCs that use AMD’s Ryzen Embedded processors. The Sequoia units are rugged commercial systems designed for applications like edge data analytics, electronic kiosks, and digital signage that can withstand up to 95% of relative humidity as well as temperatures as high as 60°C.
Simply NUC has announced Sequoia, the company’s latest line of rugged ultra-compact form-factor (UCFF) PCs. The two new PCs are the vendor’s first to use APUs from the AMD Ryzen V1000 series. There have been other AMD-powered small form factor (SFF) systems before, but this is the closest one to a NUC that we’ve seen yet.
Those looking to purchase small form factor PCs or NUCs with something other than an Intel Core CPU now have an AMD Ryzen option too. Announced by Simply NUC, their latest Sequoia NUCs will be powered by AMD Ryzen processors and will be available later soon in two variants that are very decently priced.
